Coronovirus: dealing with shock and change

March 24, 2020

Stop the world I want to get off!
What a difficult time we are all facing, with the monumental shocks and challenges of this pandemic on our lives. It has sometimes seemed to me like I'm walking on shifting sands.
Of course the news brings waves of fear, dread, anger - coupled with the stress of living with others 24/7 - or being alone - while trying to continue working, dealing with redundancy, or caring for others.

But am I the only one to see some of the potential positives?
I was surprised to hear that some clients are less depressed as they focus on the emergency, or have naturally dropped previously unhealthy ways to de-stress while working from home and it got me thinking.

Sufferers and frontline staff aside, who are obviously in the thick of it -

Have you ever felt too busy to follow your real passions?
Have you lost sight of simple pleasures?
Are you always on a treadmill to survive?
Do you feel the old financial system serves you?
Have you ever wanted more time to read, relax, change career?
Have you ever wanted time to start meditating?
Do you think the world needs time to think about future change, and how to stop damaging the ecosystem?

For those of us who are healthy with time to spare, now's our chance.

For those struggling with fear I recommend a tool you can use yourselves called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). More to follow on this.

Keep healthy,
